I am not getting gas to the FPR.

Hi , I have been working on my late grandfather’s truck for a couple of months now. I have fixed the fuel pump then replaced the fuel filter. But the Fuel pressure regulator isn’t getting gas to the supply line , but it does have gas in the return line. Can anyone answer this question??

Fuel pressure regulator(FPR) is connected to the Fuel Return hose, where fuel flows OUT back to the gas tank
It gets fuel from the Fuel Rail

The fuel rail is connected to the hose from the pump via the filter

So maybe you have the hoses reversed somewhere?

Remove both fuel hoses in the engine bay
Turn key on
Fuel pump will only run for 2 seconds
Hose that has gas come out is the IN from pump and connects to fuel rail
Other hose goes to FPR
