Hey there, Ford Ranger fam!

I’m Crystalynn, 40, repping SoCal, and I’ve officially dived into the world of Rangers. I’ve got a '93 XL with a 10” lift (I *think* it’s all suspension, but hey, I’m still figuring out what’s what). Her name’s Sally, and let me tell you, she’s got some stories to tell—over 800,000 miles worth on a rebuilt engine! She was a bit of a barn queen when I found her, but after some serious TLC, we’re back in action.

The last four months? Spent mostly under her hood, chasing gremlins and learning all kinds of new things. So, you’ll be seeing my screen name a lot—I’m here to pick your brains and maybe share a few laughs along the way.

I truly found a soldier of a truck. Very little rust, im the third owner. I e done a lot to her though. Alternator, water pump thermostat, heater core is next. A flat tire tanked out my brake hoses on both sides which are after market high performance. the brakes are what really forced me to learn about what I actually had going on With this truck.

my tires are toed in, thinking the camber was off I had it aligned still didn’t help… my tie rods do not lay flat however… aren’t they supposed too? I’m sure . I think my pitman arm may be too short.
i keep losing serpentine belts. they get shredded and bind up in the fan clutch. Been through 7 of them in two months.
and now my tail lights and cluster lights are blowing fuses every two miles…

Your odometer reads 84,929.9. It's a 5 digit odometer with the 6th digit being tenths of a mile.

Yeah, second what @MT_PLS said. The 6th digit is 10ths of a mile. That truck could have under 100k miles, probably under 200k max. That's a good thing.

You're pretty, the pooches are cute and look like they're having fun, but the people that know lifts are going to need more pictures of the truck. Since you didn't build it and probably (?) don't know exactly what parts were used, detailed pictures are likely to be the best thing to help them figure out what you need. You replaced the alternator, did the electrical problem start after that? Did you replace waterpump, thermostat, or both?

Did it eat fan belts before you replaced those parts, or did it begin around then? If it began around that time verify that everything is reinstalled correctly and that your pullies are still in alignment.

When a lift is done, lots of stuff has to be done to get everything in proper alignment and even then it may not be perfect. Lift alignments are hard to get right.

In this forum there are a couple ways to go about posting your project(s). You can start a build thread and keep everything together or use the different categories for each of your different projects...you choose - and bring your sense of humor (some of us are pretty ruthless - I won't mention any names).
