You can get one from modern driveline I think it is. But most are home made

U saw external slaves bolted to bellhousing break.im curious how that could possibly happen.it doesn't move.its probably someone's home made hack job that they thought they knew what they were doing and found out the hard way.i ll let u know how mine works.hoping to have engine with trans in truck next mth
I had the first slave cylinder made by centric go bad in a month. It was leaking from inside the barrel, it had no scratches or scoreing in the barrel. I replaced it with one from a different company and it has been working fine since. But it messed up second in my new T5Z so high rpm down shifts grind a little.

Bump for a little more info.. fixing to tackle the hydraulics.. .what are you guys doing as far as bleeding the system.. (I'm using the f550 and 280z slave)
bench bleeding it befor it even goes on the truck, if so..anyone done that and whats the procedure?

Don't know if this applies to anyones specific needs , my application was for a Cleveland swap into a 95 with a hydraulic external slave. I bought a Novak slave after logging on to their site and viewing their applications, albeit not for my particular build. I believe it was a Ford or Jeep application that had a bracket plate bolted to the existing bellhousing bolts that gave me inspiration to make my own plate. I designed it to work with my toploader trans. I wasn't convinced about the durability of a ' pull type ' slave so I went searching for different ideas. I am using the F550 Master Cylinder to get the increased bore size to function properly with the 3/4" bore slave cyl. The mounting bracket for the master needs to be altered slightly to fit the larger ( but typical ) F550 m/c.
The fittings needed for this conversion are available at the parts depots. Hope this helps

I went ahead and drilled.my bellhousing. I didn't want to.. but we'll see how it works
