Need more info on what you are installing. Some clutch lines are different sizes than others. Tell us what you have. You can fix this.

If you are putting a manual in place of an automatic what vehicle did the trans come from ? What master cylinder did you get verses what slave cylinder you got ?

I put a 93 explorer 4.0 manual trans in my 89 Bronco II 2.9. Used the explorer flywheel and clutch assembly and the hydronic line from the explorer on my BII master cylinder. The lines were different sizes and the BII would not fit on the explorer slave.

M5od from a 95 4.0l ohv. The slave, fly, and clutch kit are all for 93 ranger. Bolted right up to my engine and right up to my tranny. Everything slid right together. So i went and got the hydraulic line for a 93 ranger 4.0l ohv and had trouble getting it in. It was like it wasn't for my truck cuz of the permanent bends in the line. But i made it work and now it just won't go into the slave.

My fly, clutch kit, slave all came from internet and all fits and bolts up. The hydraulic line came from autozone. All brand new.

So my slave went out last winter. The new one had a different connection than the prior one. It included a new bushing for the hydronic line to allow it to connect to the new style slave connection. If you have the new style slave it need the new bushing as mine did.
BTW. You should not need the little fork tool to connect the line. Only to remove it.

When you try to connect the hydraulic line are you trying to use the fork tool? If you do it will not stay connected. You should only have to slide the line with its bushing into the slave. The fork is included with the kit so you can remove the old before installing the new.

When you use the pronged tool to put the line on you are pushing the bushing in which releases the line from the slave. Try just pushing the line in bare handed. 💪

Get a prybar pull back on the throw out bearing and crack the bleeder. Then close it after some fluid drains. Dont slip off it with the bleeder open it will suck air in. But it should just snap together after this.

As I said, I purchased everything brand new and have yet to be able to successfully attach the hydraulic clutch line. As such there is zero fluid in anything. And the bleeder is open. So open bleeder and dry slave so no fluid to release.
