You can call me Cruzzer, or Mark, or hey you old fart! I will be 70 in a couple of days. I bought a 94 Ranger Extended cab because I need a pickup every now and then and I'm 6'1" and just not comfy in a regular cab. A bonus is there is more room for a sub woofer. It's a 3.0 5 speed which doesn't matter much as I want more power. I suppose a 5.0 Windsor swap is the logical choice (a 347 stroker even better) . I am real curious about the 2.3 Ecoboost with equitable power for $ and better gas mileage. Does anyone here have knowledge of a 2.3 EB swap? They are a little tall about 29.5 inches to the top of the cam driven mechanical fuel pump and have a rear sump oil pan. I haven't put a tape measure to it the engine bay yet.

I don't believe I've seen a new Ranger 2.3L ecoboost swap done yet. I think the component parts are still pretty pricey. There was a FWD ecoboost swap done but the truck was cut up pretty good to fit the HP fuel pump in I think the hvac box was even deleted. A V8 explorer/mountaineer is the logical/economical vehicle to acquire... but... if there is a will (and a fat checking account) anything is possible.

Well, no fat checking accounts here. Not much left after four divorces, then found the right one and she passed away. Hopefully I can put together a 400 plus HP street truck. No time for figure out school. that takes too much time. I guess I'll start looking for a 5.0 Explorer to cannibalize. If I did do the ecoboost swap I'd use a Mustang version with a 6 speed.

Subwoofer? Engine swap?

Your a pretty hip old man. But come on, I'm 6-2 and a regular cab is plenty comfy. You may be all legs though lol
