Ok my new build is starting and already I've ran into a roadblock.
97 Ex 4.0L, SOHC, 5r55e, 4405
I am putting a NP435, 203/205 doubler, Dana 60 front and 10.25 rear
Unlike the '91 I just sold, the '97 has a speed sensor in the tailshaft of the transfer and no speedometer. I've searched and read many threads on swapping this setup for a better M5OD/1354 setup. That is challenging enough, but I've found ZERO information on how to get the motor to run without the VSS.
I could swap in the M5OD I have and run a 50/54 doubler but I was wanting the beef of the 203/205 (not to mention I just bought all the stuff). Wanting to know if anyone knew of a way to trick the computer into thinking the VSS was still hooked up?
Thanks.
