I am driving an 01 Ranger with the 5r55e tranny, and I am tuning for more power. The only real question I have is how much shift pressure is too much? I'd hate to be halfway down the track and it shifts so hard it breaks stuff. Is this a realistic concern?
I wish I could say how many psi over stock I am going but the tuner has 3 levels over stock (mild, firm, and race) and firm is a hell of a shift. Merging on to the interstate flat footed, te shift into 3rd dragged my rpms from 5800 to 4000 pretty hard, so any concerns there either?
