How far have you traveled for a Ranger?

I drove about 370 miles one way to pick up my fiance's '95. Not super far.

For myself, I have gone out about 150 miles. Ironically that was for a free Explorer, not a Ranger.

My high rider truck came from Georgia. My buddy was stationed down there, bought it, hauled it back and started to fix it up but it got rear ended and I ended up with it. My other rare truck, the stepside Ranger, was previously in Connecticut according to the title. No idea how that one made its way out here.

I daily drive the V8 Ranger any time it's not pouring rain, but I never drive it in the winter. I've never checked the fuel economy, but it's terrible, mainly because I have the rear axle geared to 3.73 and I drive it like a maniac.

Now I see. Is that y guys over here, replace the axles to the explorer 8.80 axle, for better fuel economy?

They are stronger than the stock Explorer axle. Also cheap, plentiful, can have factory disk brakes and limited slip.

Actually, I travelled from continental USA with my ranger to Africa on expeditions too, so you might be"extremely" correct!!

It wasn't for a truck but I drove from Pittsburgh, PA to Covington, KY (basically across the river from Cincinnati, OH) to get a cap for my Sport Trac. About 6 hours each way. I wasn't looking for a cap but the color matched and the price was too good to pass up.
Then I went to sell it after I traded in the truck and a lot of people wanted it but no one wanted to drive. Guy from Buffalo, NY (3 hours away) said it was too far. People are used to Amazon where you point and click and shit arrives on your doorstep.
BTW, I sold it locally on FB Marketplace for $100 more than I paid.
