i have a 91 4.0 im getting ready for my BII and cant figure out how to get the wire off the D/S of the oil pan! ive tried pulling and prying, but i dont want to break anything. i pull it and it feels like a spring inside, moves about 1/8 inch. any ideas short of cutting the wire?

I'm pretty sure the wire should just pulll out.. The oil level sender?

There is an E-clip around the sensor that you take off and then the whole thing can come out.


I think.
