I just pulled the wires from the doors of a ranger with power windows and everything to put into mine and I have the connector under my kick panel but mine is dead basic so it only has 4 of 18 wires in it and for me it would be easier just to swap out the harness from my truck for the one with all of the wires I need. I have a 2000 single cab and I have no clue how to get the dash out. any help would be great, I cant find a forum for my year or one like it so if you know of one then you could point me in the right direction or if you have done it if you could give me a step by step kind of thing that would help out alot. thanks!

i just did it in my 98 to replace the blend door, hell of alot of work. i kinda jsut removed screws untill it came out.first remove neg battery cable so u dont drain it with teh dome light and jsut a little safety measure, then the trim pieces and "oh shit" handles on both sides, kick panelsand radio bezel helps for handholds. 2 bolts by fusebox on Driver side, one on pass by the kick panel. remove defrost trim 2 gold bolts abover steering wheel, 1 black one on pass side. now heres a tip i found out the hard way, the shifter cable attaches to the stering column via a little white plastic piece, TAKE IT OFF BEFORE LOWERING STEERIN COLUMN or it will break. and it a PITA to fix.you have to remove the hood popper to take off the panel under the steering column, hten take off the metal panel behind that, take plastic shroud off steering wheel, take the 4 botls off steering column to drop that. in engine compartment disconnect the 3 big electric plugs, easiest to take off the main fus box there too, so u got mroe room to work. you may have to take like the shifter off the steering column for soem wiggle room. also take e-brake release off. it woulda helped me to label all the screws as i ended up with maybe 4-5 screws that i forgot where they went. i also took out eh driver seat for soem extra room. hope it helps a little i didnt have much help and it turned out fine. took me maybe 6-7 hrs total to remove fix and re-install everything. good luck and godspeed man.
