All ready have rough country 2.5 leveling kit. But for wider tires how do you figure the amount of off set you will need for the tire you chose. Never have used spacers not to sure about them. I won't my truck to be safe. Would you trust the tire store to know, most of them seem to just won't to sale.

If you know the tire you want... that tire will have a recommended wheel width specification. The stock Ranger wheels have a 41/2 backspace and most are 7 inches wide.

I would try to avoid wheel spacers if at all possible... if you are buying wheels... buy the right wheels.

Maybe tell us what tire you want to run and we can help a bit more.

Also… check the tech library... lots of reading there to help you make the correct choice.

They are not inherently unsafe. But they introduce more points of failure. I use 2" spacers on the rear of my race truck but it is not used for long races or big jumps. When I first put them on I ended up breaking 5 or 6 original studs while torqueing the nuts to 110 lbs/ft.....
I replaced all 20 studs....

I see. I had encouraged my sister to get some is why I wondered. She bought a truck that's jacked up so high it appears top heavy to me so I suggested some of those for what little extra width it could offer. She said it was already too wide to easily get into some parking lots. Her girl drives it most of the time

I think it varies on the type of spacers and perhaps more so the competency of the installer.

My personal rule... Avoid them and buy wheels that have the correct backspacing.

I wasn't even aware they were used for backspacing but thought more like looks and such, and have never even looked to consider getting any.
In the one case I described was the only place I have ever seen there could be some benefit to them

‘19+ is a different world. No idea what the offset is but it doesn’t look like any other NA ranger.

We are in the 19+ section...
Yeah, its taken me awhile to learn to look what section the post is in as I'm just looking at "new posts". Also learned to check the date of the previous post/s. Can catch spammers that way.

I didn't see that part... lol

I did look at the list of vehicles he has... didn't see 2019... or a 2.3L... it also said manual. Kinda told me it wasn't a 2019.

I did it backwards, vehicle list doesn’t show up on my phone unless I turn it sideways... which I rarely do.
