That is the current diff, new one doesnt have the hole punchedBummer
Its a fluke so not a "known issue"
From the dirt present, I assume it was a used Dana 35, so most likely had a fault when you got it???
Or is that pic of current front axle housing and you have a replacement?

Has many good articles on all things Ranger, including above Dana 35 article, and more
Do you recommend a course of action, maybe a different lift kit.Rough Country 4 inch lift kit I'd known as the "diff puncher".
I do.Do you have a rough Country lift in it?
Awesome, thank you. There is an article in the tech library that talks about it. Go there and read the article.
Just read the article on the drop plates, I might just stick with what is there. Those lift kiys are pretty pricy. Maybe I'll get lucky. Not sure how to modify that lift to avoid the issue. The tech article may address that. Skyjacker and Duff lift kits don't have that issue. But they're a good bit more expensive.
Only other idea I have is to modify your bump stops to prevent that much uptravel. But we normally like to have as much wheel travel as possible.
Yes. That is what the better lift manufacturers supply. But I'm not sure they will just sell you the bracket alone.I was kinda looking around, could I just get a different axle pivot drop bracket?
