How do I check epc pressure at the port ? 2001 ranger 3.0

ive been dropping the pan, adjusting the epc solenoid to eliminate the flare in my tranny. I've eliminated it but went too far with initial adjustment and have since been dialing it back. I've got it running pretty nice right now but I want to test at the epc port as I've come across info showing what the pressure(s) should be depending on idle or open throttle etc.....I can't find any videos on YouTube showing how to test at port specifically. What measurement device do I use and how ? Thanks

Second page here tells you where the 2 ports are and what pressure range you should see at idle and at WOT(wide open throttle): https://atracom.blob.core.windows.net/gears/2003/2003-05/2003_5_50.pdf

You just need a helper to press gas pedal to the floor and release it, not hold it down all the way

The wheels need to be off the ground of course, as the tests are done "in gear"

You need a pressure gauge that can go up to at least 400psi, 500psi is better, and the hose with correct fitting for the transmission

Use 4R44E 3.0l numbers

Thanks guys, im smart on some stuff and oddly challenged on some stuff you think id be smart on.........so.......what am I measuring from the epc port ? Fluid ? what is the port fitting ? Special fitting ? What is it called ? where would I get the proper tools ? Auto store ? Home depot ?? .....thanks
