Did not know about a 3.9 V6 outside of the dakota lolLate '04 Mustangs and Freestars had the 3.9 V6. Basically a 3.8 with a hair more stroke.

My 2010 Buick Lucerne has a 3.9 v6. Not convinced that it is superior in any way to the 3800 that it replaced...
I will say the fastest stock truck i ever drove was a dakota. Guy i knew had a 99ish shortbox 2wd with a 4.7L and a 5speed...that thing would friggin move.True... But

Up untill the late 90s or so i could tell you about any engine put in any domestic plated car built. After thay i kinda quit caring.
