Ok I have a 95 ranger 2.3 5 speed and it has developed a issue. At idle it has a slight miss to it but hardly noticeable but now it does this thing where when you start letting out on the clutch to take off it starts missing and popping for about 2 seconds then clears up and runs perfect till you shift and power down again. Has anyone had this issue before it does it hot or cold and worse with the a/c on. Don’t want to start throwing parts at it till I can narrow it down

I had a similar situation on my 2002 auto. It threw the engine check light as "lean" . Turned out to be that POS hose from the back of the throttle body to the PCV at the bottom of the intake. We only found it during a "smoke test" of the vacuum system . The elbow portion was "mushy" and high vacuum would cause it to suck air. Couldn't see it without the smoke pressurizing the system. Follow the smoke and there was the leak. All fixed now. About $10 to fix not including the smoke test.
