Went and bought a battery for the old 77. Its sat unfired since october of last year.
Put a battery in and after about 2 minutes of intermittent cranking and alot of throttle pumping the ol bitch fire right up.
But it ran for like 15 seconds then died like i shut the key off. Now i got no lights, no power to anything.
I got 12.4V at the battery and solenoid, fuseable links intact.
Im thinking the ground wire is bad? I unhooked the neg off the battery, touched the postive test lead to the battery and the negative to the ground wire and didnt get a reading...however with the negative cable on the battery i got a reading of 12.4.
Any ideas?
