Ok. Today I removed the NEG Battery cable and waited 2 min to reset the computer. After 12 miles the P1309 Code came back on...the others went away and have stayed away so far at 40 miles.....It runs but I can't seem to get this code to drop.

*I am trying to digest what might be the issue. I read that the Harmonic Balancer TDC might not be aligned to the Crank Sensor 0 Degree mark? So, even though the Cam Sync is timed to itself it is not timed to the crank sensor so it is out of time?

I am just starting to learn about this issue and more in-depth troubleshooting, so I am a newbie DIY, really takes me time to digest. I know a lot of you guys can smell a car and tell the problem, lol.

Thanks for any input...tomorrow I was thinking of putting back my old cam sync to see what happens....

What brand and part number syncro did you use? Sometimes the off brand ones can cause issues. Did you put the original one back in? I've replaced a few of these. The 5th pulser on the front ring aligned with the mark is what I have used to get into position. I mount the tool to the sync before putting it in so it stays aligned.

I bought a Dorman 689-117 with the tool and sensor included. I tried the new and old sensors. I have the old sensor on as of right now and the new Dorman cam sync. I tried a new cam sensor and new cam sync same issue.

The ring on the bottom of the cam is cracked on the original Ford one so I am not I can even re-use it?

What does this mean: "The 5th pulser on the front ring aligned with the mark is what I have used to get into position"

I am not hyper-advanced so some jargon is over me...well, most jargon is over me. Trying to visualize the process.

Thanks for the input.
