Help me choose a practical tire size

Ko2's all day long for me. DON'T go to walmart and get wrangler authority's a/t. They are horrible junk to the point where walmart ordered me a set of ko2's for free to replace the 11k mile wranglers on my truck because they shake and wobble so bad.

Yeah. I went in there cool calm and collected and not pissed off. They balanced the tires four separate times. After the conversation with the manager told me he appreciated me being so calm and respectful about it. I told him I can only imagine the some of the people that come in there he has to talk with in these situations.

Sounds like everyone has good experience running 235/75R15's.

Now to choose a tire. I've had good luck with Cooper/MasterCraft tires in the past. As well as BFGoodrich.

Just have to figure out which set will give me the "look" I'm after.

It goes to show you how customer service usually comes down to an individual manager vs a chain's policies (in most cases).

If you are looking for something more aggressive then the Discoverer AT

General Grabber AT2 comes in 235/75/R15. They are nice tires, I have a set on my truck and they look good.

I think they have phased out the AT2 and it has been replaced with the AT3 (less aggressive then the AT) and the ATX (more aggressive)

Seconding what Craig said... avoid the Goodyears... especially the cheapo Wranglers, they are by far the one tire I just hate. They will dry rot and crack in just a couple years and track funny on concrete highways...they follow the grooves, never had any other tires do that. I really just despise Goodyear in general, except the MTRs, those have been a pretty solid offroad tire.

I'm learning towards the general grabber now, I've never run them on a truck but had great luck out of a set of generals on my wife's old Mazda we sold recently.

Well crap, discount tire is saying that tire iss discontinued online....

Tire Rack still has some in stock.

I also see Toyo has an Open Country AT III I hated my AT II's I had on my 16 F150, they were louder than mud tires I had run in the past.

the titan guys complain about the grabbers, non-stop. its the stock tire on the pro4 models, from what i read, and the guys say they wear quick and are slippery.

I don't know what module of grabbers come with a nissan. I have the AT2, they are more like a mud tire then a lot of the all terrain tires you see. Complete garbage in the snow.

For something that live 99% of it's life on asphalt, they are a poor choice.

Problem is, they don't really make tires that look like mud tires and preform like all season tires.

Funny you mention Toyos being loud. I had that experience too. I had a set of M-55's on my F250, they look like a mild all-terrain, but they just screamed on the highway. Oddly they were even louder than the Firestone mud tires I have on it now. Good tire other than that, they are pretty much made of iron.

I think the AT III's came out really quick because of the noise level personally.

I might give them a try again. Bronco doesn't exactly have a quiet cabin lol

Funny, there are 2 Toyo AT III's in 235/75R15. One is P rated the other is LT. P rated says it can carry more weight, but is slightly smaller and has less thread depth. And is slightly lighter too.

I like LTs better. You can put more air in them and as you noticed they usually have more tread and can carry more weight. But they can ride stiffer (which I don't mind.)

My Ford tech buddy said they had a F350 dually traded in with P rated tires on it...

I usually run LT on all my half tons.... I think the bronco can by with a P rated tires. They would be XL rated and they have a 65,000 mile tread warranty. Not bad for an AT.
