I’ve got a 1995 Ford ranger 4.0l manual truck. Recently I’ve replaced the egr valve, egr inlet tube, the egr pipe line, and the o2 sensor. I’m still recieving those codes on the code reader even though it’s been reset. My idle is running around 1500-2000rpm and at times it won’t even start. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

There are like 20 different codes for the EGR valve alone and they all point to different problems that may or may not be fixed by actually replacing the part. Same thing with the o2 sensors. Need to get the specific codes to be able to help more.

Ok. I will see if I can get the truck started and last resort go buy a code reader
