Hi I have a 1990 Ford XLT ranger and my transmission went out A4LD I was wondering if there’s a better transmission to put in it and which ones I could interchange 2 Wheel Dr.

Welcome to the site. The A4LD was used for ten years so it's a pretty decent transmission.
