:icon_cheers:does anyone know what i can use to keep the bottom of the cab mounts from spinning while i loosen the bolts??? ive tried channel locks, pipe wrenchs, and even oil filter pliers. cant seem to be able to grab onto that lower plate enough to put any torque on the bolts and they just keep spinning... any ideas would be awesome!!!!

Try double nutting the exposed end of the fastener if you have enough exposed thread for it. Then loosen the nut with a open end wrench while you back up the double nut end with a socket. Soak the piss out of it with a good quality penatrant for a couple of days first.

Are you putting on a body lift? If so who cares if you bugger them up. most kits replace them.

Huh? Mine had Torx heads on the bolt and I just stuck in a ratchet with it locked and spun it till it hit the hump...but, then again, it was a breaker bar...

Do they not have regular heads on your cab bolts that you can get a socket over them and then spin it into the firewall or kick panel?

i was having the same issue today because im doing a BL right now and lost so much time on that one area that i didnt get to finish tonight. heat them up and that should do it. it worked for me, even with just a small propane tank. also now im having trouble getting them back in, and cant get the front bolts off either
