Working on a project truck; 1978 Ford Courier 2.3L 4 speed. Many electrical issues. Replaced the crappy glass fuse box with a spade fuse box and using relays to control the high current loads; hi/low beam halogen lights, elect fuel pump, etc.

🤔 Certainly, welcome aboard!

🤔🤔. I’m pretty new too, & these guys are great and know more about Rangers than Ford, and a lot of other soup/pickle stuff, but I’m not sure there’s much Courier info here, mostly Rangers and B-II.

Can any of you long-time guys help this guy out?

I can tell you my 78' Ford Courier has some similarities to early Rangers, that's why I joined. As far as few if any Courier guy's that's ok, because I can take any of your cool ideas and incorporate them into my truck, so I won't be a pia to this blog. After all the electrical and interior is completed my end game is a cobra 302, hooked up to a T5 trans and a swapped rear running 4-11's. Thanks for the welcome.

👍👍👍 I jumped in cuz no one responded, which is pretty unusual here.

I’ve done some crazy conversions in my youth (400 small block in a 260z), 40-years ago, but I’m more of a purest now. Keep ‘em running right & play with the appearance and keep them from the scrap yard. No big rust problems here in the ATL.

Your in the right place for Ford worship. I’m pretty sure if you ask specific questions, you’ll get a healthy response.

Good luck!

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Hey Rick W. Thanks for jumping in. Ford nut here, was watching the Ford Team run there 427 DOHC and SOHC engines at Englishtown (NJ) raceway park dragstrip in my early teens. They ran them in F/X class DOHC 427's heads were huge and were slightly larger then the 429 Boss Engines if you can believe that! Did allot of swaps in my day..Thanks again for jumping in..Ed W

Thanks for the welcome. The Rangers are cool looking trucks and I've seen many of them here. A friend of mine had this 78' Courier and for some reason it really attracted my attention. So, when he decided to sell it to me I bought it.... Hahaha! You talk about jumpin' the shark, I'm getting the full ride! Parts is the first problem, and I could go on and on. But, it will get done.
