I'm looking for 1992 heater core firewall grommet. No A/C only heater manual. 3.0 liter engine. Mine is most likely the factory one and it's dry rotted out. Heater core is just flopping around. Part number or link would be very helpful.

My credo
Giving my truck more money than it deserves.
I think you're going to be out of luck for this. Ford doesn't really do long-term parts support and all the ones in the junkyard won't be better.

I think you best bet is to get your hands on some closed-cell foam that looks about right. This is my guess not looking at mine for reference.

Edit; while you're in there it looks like your wiper trough seam sealer is degrading as well. At the bottom of this Tech Library post, user M78 has a good fix.

One possible option, is to check with the auto parts stores. I know they sell some grommets but I don't know if they sell what you are looking for. If you have a set of calipers, you could take some measurements and see what you can find on ebay and amazon, may rock auto as well.

Yeah I have to pull the heater core anyways. The heater core is leaking. Yeah, the truck is a jalopy. Many things that need fixing and maintenance work done on it. I compression tested the cylinders. The pressure is within specs. Starts up every time with one crank. It's my vehicle to get to work. I really like the truck just don't have the time to spend fixing it.

I used ¼-½" Butyl rubber for all my firewall pass throughs (heater core, wire bundles, steering colume). It is performing great. Easy to acquire, simple to use; sold on Amazon or local parts shoppe 😃

I needed to remove everything from both sides of the firewall to address structural repair issues.
