I was having some lighting issues to the rear of the vehicle ( doing weird stuff ). So I cleaned all the connections and sockets (likely a bad ground or something) and everything is working as it should now. But now when the ignition is off and I turn on the hazard lights the headlights flash along with them. It does not happen when the key is on and everything else works perfectly. They only flash when the key is off and the hazards are turned on. Is this likely a multifunction switch issue

I tend to agree LOL . I really never use the 4 ways much. I just don't know if it did this before because I don't think I ever tried them. I was just wondering if this a sign of a future switch failure. Wouldn't want it to happen with the cops stopped in front of me though.

The common ground is bad.

Sorry, Bobby. I find you hard to understand a lot of the times.

Yeah. .. never heard that before 😆

I meant the running lights main power as well...the brown wire has all of that load alternating through the flasher which can also hit the high side of the brakes.

Likely just hitting the brakes will dim the headlights a bit too with the engine off....

Though there should be several small grounds around the front harness for the lights ect.

Thanks Guy's... I'll clean all the connections in the front as soon as I can get back into my buddies heated garage. -30c here right now.
