- My credo
- In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Ever participated in 4x4 games?
A co-worker (the Jeep guy) alerted me to a "tennis ball challenge" happening at a nearby ORV Park over Presidents Day weekend. I'm going to try to go.
The general premise is; they set up a course on a trail(s). Along the course are 4 traffic cones. You must maneuver to the first cone and retrieve a tennis ball that is sitting on top of it. You are allowed to get out of your truck and crawl around on it to reach the ball. But you must never touch the ground. Then you drive to the next cone and place the ball on top of it. Repeat for the remaining cones. The event is timed.
Sounds fun.
I'm going to try to get some rock sliders installed by then. This is being held at Gulches ORV Park near Waterloo, SC. I visited the park about 13 years ago just to photograph a friend who was driving in a competition that day. The park has changed a lot since then and is under new management. If there is anyone close by who wants to come and ride shotgun, I would welcome the company.
