I'm selling a big sailboat (not trailerable) and the market is ruthless at the moment. I got a possible trade offer for an '03 Softail Heritage Classic. Here are the initial specs. Engine work was done by a Master Harley mechanic (don't know yet if under the table or officially by the dealer). I know the Harley world is a bit different than the rest of the automotive world in that these bikes are highly emotional (for lack of a better vocabulary) and I have no clue what resale would look like. This trade would be mainly accepted cause a bike seems easier to sell than a boat. Here are some details. Some I like, some I don't (high apes), No clue how they affect value. Any input greatly appreciated! edit: a bit over 6k miles on the new engine.

Fully rebuilt motor in December 2022. Replaced every bearing and seal in the entire motor.
New crank
New balancers
95" big bore kit
New 509 cams
New hydraulic cam chain tensioners with high flow oil pump.

Rebuilt carb
Cobra true dual fishtail exhaust
New clutch
New compensator
Rebuilt transmission
18" ape hangars.
Hard bags with fosgate stereo
XK chrome led lights
23" Fat spoke front wheel with custom paint
Fat spoke rear wheel

i don't know to much about harleys but my dad has one or two and i see them for sale around here for what looks like a low price.

03 is older too so not sure how it would sell since its carb'd and not fuel injected.

I know this isn't helpful, but here anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 for a Harley. Anything more than that and you approach new one territory. I'm too far inland to see many big boats for sale, but I'd expect one to be on the higher end of that. Seems like it'd have to be a VERY nice to bike make an even trade.

You'd think. The boat market is absolutely dead. I've talked to a couple local brokers and they wished me good luck. The boat market (if you need a slip at least) is literally at 1/2 price now.
