2019 Ranger owner experiencing hard shifting in the first 3 gears. After the truck warms up it seems to go away but if I stop and go in somewhere, it happens again when I start back up. Looking for help to troubleshoot this please. Thank you!

How many miles are on the truck? Has the transmission fluid ever been changed? With these transmissions and the issues they have, I wouldn't go any longer than 60,000 miles and I would change the filter while the pan is dropped. 30,000 would be better.

Only use Mercon ULV for the fluid and have 8 quarts on hand. You will need most, if not all of it.

My credo
Buy it, build it, and drive it like you stole it
I've seen a lot of people change the little valve thing on the rear driver corner of the engine. EGR valve I beleive. Says it has helped. Like said above. I changed my fluid at 60k but not the filter. A service tech friend told me not to change the filter yet. Not sure why. Maybe someone smarter on transmission function can help there.

The other suggestion I've been seeing is to change the EGR valve. Apparently that has helped some with transmission issues as well. I'm not sure how they are related but apparently, that is another fix.
