Happy Thanksgiving RBV family. Hope everyone is having/had a great day. Ugg, mine was quite unmotivational LOL. Even the 3/4 of a pot of coffee I had this morning just didn't seem to help.

First time in a while we had all the folks in one place. No one had seen each other for a long enough time they didn’t even have an giant arguments.

Just finished cleaning up and the wife wants to start decorating for Christmas.

Made the first Turkey of the season on the Traeger this morning. I wanted to get up at 3am and smoke it for 2hrs then cook at 225 the rest of the way. But that didn't happen woke up at 530 and just cooked it at 300-325 till about 1030.

Still was good and moist even though the meat didn't turn red like last year even brined it with the Traeger kit, cranberry juice and apple whiskey like normal.

We did our turkey similar, except we just put it on 200 for like 11 hours. I left to hang out with friends (I helped, had to get the pellet grill auger cleared out of the wet pellets Monday and Tuesday nights after work and got it assembled and ready before I left) last night but the wife said she put it on at around 9 and just left it, it was amazing for being 25 pounds... she put it in the pan upside down to get the breasts more moist and it worked... just used the "Gourmet mix" pellets...

Was good, biggest group of family for a while.

I spatchcocked our 12 lb bird this year. Mixed up some cajun butter and rubbed it all under the skin and dry brined it in the same cajun seasoning for 24 hours. It turned out really good. I didn't realize when I pulled the bird from the foil roasting pan I poked a hole in it. As I was carving the turkey I noticed my dog going nuts lapping up something on the floor. I thought maybe a spilled a little something... but he kept lapping. Then I realized all my turkey drippings had run onto the counter and were spilling onto the floor. Needless to say... I had a pretty big mess on my hands and no turkey gravy.

Got to watch the lions lose yet another game this year. So it seemed like a normal Thanksgiving Day

Lol my sister bought brown gravy 🤣 so we didn't have any either. That bird sounds good though.
