friday I got the 5.0, trans a tcase and disc 8.8 out of my 99 mountie and sunday the 3.0 trans and tcase out of my 3.0 ranger and got rid of the donor body. When did they change the tcase end of the drive shafts? I also got the output flange on the awd tcase changed. I still need to find a 3.73 d35 for the front since 4.10 in a v8 daily driver sounds fun to drive I don't think it would do well for fuel economy. I also want to find a 4406 tcase for my swap. I hope to have the swap running next weekend:beer:

sounds like you made a lot of progress. jealous of the donor vehicle.

With the 5.0, I would think the 3.73's would be fine. plenty of torque in the 5.0

and unless your doing some pretty extreme stuff you'll have a ball with it.

My credo
Work hard and play harder
I had 4.10's in my 05 w/ a 5.0 and did about the same as my 3.0. Just got to learn to stay out of it. That was the hard part for me.
