I guess that's not totally true, I just haven't been around in a while and I've never posted. I've been working in Iraq for the last three years I'm about to come home and a 09 FX is in my plains. I've wonted a four wheel drive for a long while and I'm going to get one. :yahoo: I've been allover Edmon's comparing Toyota, Nissan, GM, Dodge and Ford. I know what they say and just about everything they don't like I don't care about. It will be a good of road vehicle that can tow a reasonable load at a great price and I like the way ranger looks. I had a 03 2x4 that I didn't have long enough to make the first payment on, a tornado knocked a tree on it. Well it was good while it lasted. This one will be better.
Well enough of that I'll ask a couple of questions from time to time and might add something if I think it'll be useful but for the most part I look forward to learning from knowledgeable members.

Thanks fellas. Any suggestions on the FX4? I think it'll have everything I wont but will add a sliding rear window and a bed extender. To bad I can't get that with vinyl floor covering.

you should be able to get vinyl flooring with those options, if you were building it on the web and it wont let you contact Ford directly. I have a sliding rear window and vinyl on my 04 XLT, i dont see why you couldnt get it. Vinyl flooring is awesome, so if i were you i would definetly do what you have to for it, because if you are offroading alot carpet sucks.

I'm not sure that I'm going to be off road a lot, But I defiantly will be off road, fishing, hunting, on muddy roads wearing dirty shoes and riding around with that sliding rear window open a lot and that right there is enough to wont as much vinyl as possable.
