i got a ranger 8.8 rear end with 4.56 gears and some national race pack leaf springs for 450 bux today!! only catch was i had to drive 3 hours to go up to l.a. to go get the stuff, but it was totally worth it!!!

Woulda been worth it if it had discs.

You have to be a 7-handed french monkey to work on drum brakes. :icon_twisted: (That is a stab a Louis Renault in particular, not the French people in general)

How many miles on it and what did you pay? No disc brakes.. darn, too bad.....

Don't let the nay sayers get you down, that is an awesome deal. And when we were still planning on building my ranger to race we were going to use drums, on a light truck they still work well

haha i dont mind drums and for that price who cares! its a better, stronger rear end with all brake lines, spring plates with shock tabs, race springs u bolts and even limit straps!!! i think i got a killer deal. oh and BTW the rear end only has like 1500 miles on the 4.56 gears :D

Fuggen sweet! What's the 8.8 out of? If it's a sploder 8.8, you can get the calipers, and what ever else you need for disc, from a junk yard for like $100. Piece of cake:icon_thumby:

i wish haha. its a ranger 8.8 so i believe it is also a 28 spline 8.8 instead of the normal exploder 31 spline axles. but like i said i dont mind drum brakes haha this rear end is still forty times better than the 7.crap
