The trailer looks great and I like your Ranger!

You're pretty much going to have to build your own like this guy did. Or have one built from someone/place who builds trailers to order. Either way a one-off trailer. But a niiiiice trailer...the problem is finding a trailer that is small enough for the ranger to tow
Have fun driving 45 MPH down the interstate...and smashing it to the floor on hills and screaming at redline. Towing in at a gross of 10,700 pounds this summer with my truck was not fun power wise, try tossing another 2k on top of that. Essh. With a gooseneck I would tow 8,000# with a Ranger. A trailer with a pair of 3,500# axles, for instance. Load 1,000# of tongue weight on it--that's within the capabilities of a Ranger. The trailer does its own braking, so no worries there. A 4.0 will get that going. I'd prefer a C5 for a trans though. The 2.8 converter is loose behind a 4.0, which if perfect for this. And it's able to be built strong enough for a 460, so this application would be a picnic.
No joke.Compact trucks aren't meant for towing things that weight close to 5tons.If you wanna tow something and to it efficiently start looking at diesels.Have fun driving 45 MPH down the interstate...and smashing it to the floor on hills and screaming at redline.
