Well that swap idea went out the window. The guy sold it under my feet. I may do ab other 302 swap some day. But I am sticking with the 2.9 for now

Just keep an eye out. The ls engine is a dime a dozen in every part of the country. A 6.0 will usually cost more, but a 4.8 or a 5.3 can be had for 200$ pulled, run for over 300k, and make 3-4x the power it did factory without touching the lower end.

The LS family > any ford motor.

The only thing I have heard bad about them is the oil pump is pressed in not bolted so it could work itself out. I haven't had any apart so I couldn't say for sure
