I know it would take a considerable amount of work to do, but I really like the idea of cutting the back section of the supercab out and turning them into half doors like they did on the newer Rangers. Has anybody done this or know if anybody has before? Pictures would be awesome if it has been done before. I do have most if not all of the tools that it would require to do so and some metal working know-how.

Haven't heard of anyone doing it on a first or second gen Ranger...and I'd imagine there would be structural issues that would have to be addressed to make it safe. Why not just find a gen 3 cab with what you want and swap that onto your frame?

The main reason I want to do it on my gen 2 is that I like the styling more and I think it would be more fun to build and a good challenge. I'd really like to do a full 4 door conversion, but I don't know if I want to go through having to lengthen the frame, drive shaft, lines, and all the other stuff.

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
make your doors suicide style.

its a waste or time to open the back part of the cab unless you are going to make the cab much bigger.

i will likely kick my new to me cab wall back 8 inches, when i find a new to me cab:D no doors unless its 4 big ones.
