My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Has anyone looked into the Federal and State legalities of doing this? I've been thinking of building a setup for just incase portable fuel sources become hard to get because of .gov activities and crazy high prices. Have the unit hidden inside a fake camper shell and tow a small trailer with your wood supply.
I might have already said this in here somewhere.. but one of our past customers drove a gasified Dakota clear across the country, and currently has a full size v8 chevy that's gasified and stickered/registered.

No, it's an incomplete combustion process that emits a flammable gas, that a gasoline engine can burn. It's like running on propane, but with less efficiency and power.

So it takes two combustion chambers, one to produce the gas, and another (the engines cylinders) to turn it into forward motion

Yes, but the "2nd" chamber needs to burn to expand and create work. The spark plugs ignite the flammable gasification gas vapor.

The gasification process doesn't make high pressure as steam broilers do.

I went back and started over, and still don't see it as being a lot of hope against anything really. I see power outs as a problem but there's really not much you can do but just hang in best you can. And just hope it comes back on. I think there was a book named "6 days to chaos" or something like that, about an enemy EMP or something, and that's likely the most possible scenario. This has been tossed around for decades and yet nobody has even begun to harden our electrical grids against it

That photo at the bottom of page one is not what you wish to drive around here. If the sheriff didn't get you for running a distillery, then someone else would for impersonating a moonshiner ;)
