are the tanks the same between an xcab and regular cab? xcab is a 2000 and std cab is a 02

On older models they are...I took the gas tank off my standard cab 88 and it fit the extended cab 88 perfectly...

You could check them for sale and see if there are pics...or sometimes they list model years they will fit...

I know my 97 regular cab had a tiny tank compared to my ext cab 91.

from what I have found they are not. standard cab short bed is 15 gal long bed is 20 and ex cab is 19.5
