Fuel Tank Return Cap

Does anyone make a cap to plug the return fitting on my new fuel pump?

My old setup just had a pickup that fed the engine driven fuel pump. I have been running a cheap pump on the frame for a couple years that kinda did the same thing. My pump is weak and the fuel level sender isn't accurate so I am going to a single low pressure in tank pump for an '86... but it has a second line at the pump for a return.

I know rubber caps don't last forever, I just want it sealed. Kinda thinking JB Weld as a last ditch but I would rather not.

Basically the opposite of this, rather than plug the fuel line I want to plug what the fuel line plugs into:

Use a plug similar to that connected with a piece of hose?

Just put a bolt in it with RTV on threads

Or pinch the metal tube flat and bend it over to close it

I was scrolling thru Amazon/O'Reilly's looking just getting a disconnect end instead of driving all the way to the JY and I had an idea. When I cleaned out my pickupbox trailer after I finally got a hitch put on it I threw a bunch of truck debris from the host truck in the scrap bin here at work... including the high pressure frame mounted fuel pump. I wonder what that has for ends?

I think we might be onto something...



And then if my in-tank pump ever dies I could just switch back to a frame mounted pump by switching my homemade cap with the fuel line and bolt another fuel pump on the frame.

And it works great so far!
