Fuel tank question

My brother has a 1980 Ford Courier with the 2.3l and its the short bed. The fuel tank is rotted out on it and am looking for a replacement. Does anyone know if they shared that tank with any other models? Summit shows to have one, but the picture doesnt look like what we pulled from the truck. So trying to see if maube a Ranger tank would fit or if wed be better off going with a boat tank setup.

Welcome to TRS

Ford Couriers were all imported so there won't be crossover parts with Rangers or any built in US vehicles
But a Ranger tank may fit, just by luck

So best bet is to guesstimate gallon capacity then google that, i.e. 16 gallon gas tank
They come in all shapes

Not sure what you mean by "boat tank"?

Ford Courier was first imported in 1972 and ended US sales in 1982(because Rangers came out in 1983), 1st and 2nd generation Couriers, 1972-1976, 1977-1982
There were 3rd and 4th generation Couriers sold in other countries until 2007

Or put a fuel tank in the rear between the rails.

Thanks for the replies. Its right at around a 15 gallon tank, so ill see what i can find.

Bottom feed aftermarket fuel cell would be an easy fix or a top feed with a low pressure electric pump.
