Bendable brake line=steel brake line.I'm not sure what bendable brake line is. I use regular steel tubing and a tubing bender, when I worked as a mechanic everyday I had enough strength in my hands to not need a bender. Gas burns, why risk a vehicle taking the easy way out of making fuel lines?
You do not want rubber coming off the pump. Its to close to the exhaust. The 70s stuff had steel coming off the pump up untill about the intake manifold where a rubber line attaches then goes to the filter into the carb.
