- Did partial rebuild in the street 3 days, shop takes 3 days. Don't need a Shop
Canister Purge Valve is now stuck causing flooding and vapor lock. Taking gas cap off helps the engine eventually clears excess fuel/vapor.
Going to replace the Valve soon, gas tank isn't collapsed which is good. Pretty annoying trying to pump gas.
Trailing the vent line from the tank my EVAP wasn't fully connected before it enters the filter (big block above spare tire).
Reconnected although it's not the best so I'll just replace that entire line soon.
Engine has no starting issues if stalled or restarted quickly.
Cold Start has misfire preventing proper fuel flow because the engine is full of vapor, speed of 70mph going uphill will load the engine, misfire but no knocking or hesitation.
If I hold the gas, downshift from 5th to 4th flooding stops and combustion continues like nothing even happened.
When at highway speed going uphill if I ride 4th gear this never happens. Doubt it's the manual transmission more like the engine misfiring. It's very smooth no bucking knocking or hesitation when combustion comes back.
City driving no issues regardless of load or grade, fuel pump is providing adequate go go juice, burnouts at even 3rd gear with no load. No misfiring even hitting high revs.
Thinking the water screwed up the Canister, no leaking injectors either, found a old tire valve cap that's metal and fits my Schneider Valve which leaks. So it wasn't my injectors leaking externally just the valve getting old.
This truck is an adventure
