I have ate some very good fruitcake. A lady I know makes some that is delicious.
Now the store bought stuff is way past nasty, only thing they are good for is a doorstop.

My wife bought me some from Walmart. It was in a brick form, not a tin. it was really good. I threw the package away already, I don't know what company it was.

Never heard of swedish fish. What is it? I love sweet stuff though. I could OD on dried pineapple.

Oh! Gummi bears shaped like fish. They don't sell them around here but we have gummi bears and worms.

Real fruit cake is soaked in rum, Which gives it a really nasty taste. I have nothing against rum though. BRING IT ON!

i used to work at a grocery store in high school, and hostess would bring in a display with about 96 fruit cakes, we'd maybe sell 2 dozen of them.. the boss always joked about them, and once he called me up front as a gag, to help a customer carry their fruit cake brick out.. seems most people dont like it.

My grandma used to scatter those things amongst the unfortunate masses. A 1/4" sliver and your head is pounding. A 1/2" slice and your in a diabetic shock. Nobody ever ate them. I don't know where thay all are. I'm sure they aren't biodegradable. Maybe some needed family member collected them up and repaired his chimney with them. I'll bet UPS hates Christmas. They have to buy the workers back supports since they will all be handling tons of fruitcakes.
