Today I went at the task of changing my front sway bar bushings
IMG_4026[1].JPG
I measured the sway bar at 1 1/16 or so I thought
I ordered 30mm bushings and there to small
IMG_4027[1].JPG
with the sway bar removed I measured it again and it is 1 3/8"
I can't seem to find a 34mm bushing does any one have any suggestions on where to look

I hate when bushings are a hair to small. It always agravates me so much because you are already at the point of no return when you find out

I bought the truck new in 2011 it has the sway bar that came on it from the factory

Are you sure you didn't measure it to be 1 3/16"? There were only two options, 27mm and 30mm. If you do have a 1 3/8 bar it is obviously not stock.

Here are some generic 1 3/8 sway bar bushings.

I am positive I measured 1 3/8" and I just checked again and it's 3/8 not 3/16
Thank you for the link

The last time I had to muck around with sway bar bushings, I had the same issue and had to use sandpaper on a drill driven drum to make the bushing opening larger. This was not on a Ranger. If you choose to go that route, speed is your enemy. You want to abrade the material, not melt it. It will take some time and stop often to check fit.

Dang that sway bar is way thicker than my stock 95 one. I'm gunna need to make a trip to the junk yard. You're positive on the diameter? Used calipers I take it? I had been looking at belltech and hellwig sway bars and they come in 1.25 or smaller.

Found a thread on another ranger site and people are commenting their rangers have a 33mm sway bar and found explorer bushing's were the correct size.

Yeah, the factory front bar on my 98 Ranger is nowhere near 1 3/8. That's a YUGE bar.

I thought it was the ability to pee well. The urine backs up, your eyes cross and then you are unable to think of anything else.
