front end noise

i have a 95 ford ranger 4x4 and when i am driving down the road i sounds like a wheel bearing but i have replaced the wheel bearings.. The noise is still there.. when going over small hills there is squeeling and then the truck kinda jolts.. any ideas on what this could be?? thanks

Sounds like you've got auto hubs that are grinding and catching.

Were the wheel bearings torqued properly? Did you pack them with plenty of grease? What brand of bearings did you use? The reason I ask about brand is, I bought the Valucraft bearings for my Explorer, and they failed within 2 weeks.

These were on my Ranger, put on by the previous owner, and had less than 5,000 miles - they said Made in China
