Well i got in a wreck the other day that mangled my front bumper. Im on a pretty tight budget since im probably going to be liable for all damages so im trying to build myself a new one as cheaply as possible. pretty much the only materials i have laying around is about 150 feet of 2 inch well pipe along with a couple of 2.5 inch sections thats been sitting in my grandpas yard for the last 30 years and ive got a welder but no pipe bender so i figure i could use that but im not sure how i should go about doing it. also does anyone have advice for straightening the front of the frame rails? I can see the wrinkle in them about a foot and a half back and theyre only bent over about .5 to 1 inch im just not sure how to straiten them.

Hello Aggie, that well pipe will be magnetic and might be hard to get a clean weld. I've never tried it but seen it on ranch fences that didn't look too pretty up close. That 2.5 might be the best option.
If you have a 10" miter saw you can get metal cut off blades for those, and maybe make your "bends" by using 45s in the turns

My credo
I poop in the furnace.
If your welder is stick, use AC setting and AC-ER7014 rod. No more issue with arc blow on magnetic material.
