Ford Security System?

Hello All,
This security system was installed prior to me owning the 1989 Ranger. Is anyone familiar with this system. The Ranger recently would not turn over the other day after pushing the momentary switch just prior to starting. I bypassed the security system and was able to start the truck. Before tossing the system thought I would ask if anyone had any parts. I assume I would need the black box.

Is there a long part number on it? Might start with an E or an F?

I would just delete it if it was mine though.

Ah, the venerable PassKey system.

My 97 Expedition had one in it when I bought it. In the first month I had to take the dash out to fix the heat, and oddly enough when I was done that security box was still on the bench where it should have been left by the original owner.

Yes it is a old system. Was installed in 91. Lasted a long time. Trying to keep the truck as stock as it was when purchased.
On the back of the black box there are two numbers. Both printed on paper labels. One is still legible. Reads C851F666X.
