I found this video which compare all exhausts for Ford Ranger

Very helpful if you are thinking which exhausts to upgrade and find the best sound you like.

You can click on the video for all exhausts timestamps & links

Which exhaust you liked the most?

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
So, is that for the 2019/2020 Rangers, I assume?

WTF? I miss the days of bolting on some long tube headers and a set of purple hornie header mufflers. Pretty sure I'm officially a dinosaur at this point.

I'm confident that back in the day you'd have gotten your ass kicked if you had said:
"First of all I must say, you are special, because only special people upgrade their stock exhaust"

I kinda like the Flowmaster best but there is only so much you can do with a four banger before you get into fart can territory.

IMO unless they are governed below 2k rpm they (along with V6’s) are best seen and not heard... unless there is lots of turbo noise.

Hate to say it but we are stuck with a four banger. No nice way to make it sound good.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
You guys are nuts, that 2.3 can be a wild sounding motor. Certainly no where near the status of the average 4 banger noise.

Sound is a very subjective thing. Everybody has different tastes. What you're calling "wild sounding" would be horrendously awful in my opinion. You want it? Go for it. That's up to you.

I had a turbo Eclipse, 2.0 I4, 16v, turbo. Back when turbos were not scared to sound like turbos. WIth the factory exhaust I actually liked it, all I could hear was the turbo so it basically sounded like an electric car unless I got on it... and then it sounded like a jet.

Some 4 cylinders sound good. I used to bush hog with one of these no cab enclosure on ours. The sound was so relaxing it could almost put me to sleep.

Put a second 4-banger in the bed and then it'll sound like you are driving a v8 ;)

I think the 2k rev limiter is in effect on a tractor lol. Maybe 2.5k max lol

I have three four cylinder tractors, they are all governed below 2k... and have mufflers.

Post up an audio clip, I'd like to hear what you consider wild. Every exhaust I've heard, other than the stock quiet version, sounds like a fart can. Some are better than others, but none that I would even consider.

If one does sound better I'd consider it if the price was right.

When I think "wild sounding motor" on a street vehicle... I'm thinking this:
