The Edge is FWD, isn’t it? I think this transmission is for RWD based vehicles only.

I thought ford kinda stuck the 4 EcoBoost (2.0, 2.3, 2.7, 3.5) engines and 3 transmissions (6 manual, 6 dual clutch, 10 auto) in everything these days.

It's too wet to go fishing. The fish will be hiding out in their homes trying to stay dry.

This is not the transmission in your mom's Edge. The 10R80 is a rear wheel drive transmission.

Ford's current naming scheme for transmissions is Number, F or R, and another number.

The first number is the number of gears, the F or R stands for front or rear wheel drive, and the second number is 1/10 the torque rating in Nm. Your mom's transmission is a 10F something or other.
