You can get down on your knees and stare at those lights up close and they still won't blind you. They do help in foggy or rainy weather but they really aren't very bright.Those lights NEED an ON/OFF switch...
Without a switch you have no way to provide oncoming traffic relief from lights that perhaps are blinding them. It makes the roadway unsafe for others as well as yourself. It does no good if you can see better if you blind others driving at you at cruising speeds.
The Factory system has a switch for that exact reason... use your best judgement and safety as a consideration when wiring up your new fog lights.
