My credo
If it ain't broke, break it.
Those lights NEED an ON/OFF switch...

Without a switch you have no way to provide oncoming traffic relief from lights that perhaps are blinding them. It makes the roadway unsafe for others as well as yourself. It does no good if you can see better if you blind others driving at you at cruising speeds.

The Factory system has a switch for that exact reason... use your best judgement and safety as a consideration when wiring up your new fog lights.
You can get down on your knees and stare at those lights up close and they still won't blind you. :haha: They do help in foggy or rainy weather but they really aren't very bright.

The fog lights are low and aimed down at the ground. They have no effect on oncoming traffic.
So... I remember you saying your lights tend to piss people off... we've had this discussion before.

They need a way to be turned off... and you simply can't turn them off unless you shut your lights off.

I guess I should have prefaced my wants with I don't have to remortgage the house to buy them.
Exactly why I went with OZ-USA, at least the main reason why hah

I fixed that, I adjusted them way down. You can see here they only shine on the road directly in front of the truck now. Maybe 20 feet out at most. I had them aimed slightly up before, No more being annoying to other drivers.

I will probably just buy clear LEDS and put Amber tape over them...

But I will wire them into the factory wiring system.

I have a small roll of amber vinyl you can have if you cover shipping and PayPal fees, shoot me a DM if you’re interested. But there are plastic removable amber lenses you can buy for most pods, bars, and some round leds, I got a pair from OZ for my white pods and it cost me less than $5 for a pair

I may consider yellow for the fogs as they are nice on the eyes when driving through snowy conditions, but not as good on the clear weather dark farm roads. Ideal fogs should light up the spaces where headlights don't hit closer to the front and especially the sides.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Hellas. Halogen though, not the led.

Stained glass spray works well at making lenses Amber or yellow.
