flippin the shackle will drop you down couple inches, no need to buy anything extra just 8 grade8 bolts 1/2" diameter with washers and stuff. Then just cut the old rivets out with the back of the truck supported on the frame and go to town

well technically if you have the stock splash coils and leafs thats an extra inch so it would be 4/5 vs a stock normal ranger. and yea shackle flips are like a 2 inch drop

Back. The front things are hangers I believe.

It seems to be close, but as far as I know no has had an issue. I may drop the back of my truck with this method once I get the new hangers and shackles in place.

So I have a question..........which photo is right in the tech article? They both show the rear hangers already flipped but they show the shackle it 2 different positions. I can take a photo of stock, my 95 is sitting right here in stock trim so we can have "real" before and after shots.

Zman, I remember you having an issue where your axle was no longer centered. Did you get this fixed and what was wrong?

I'm in the middle of putting my truck back together now and figured I would just do this at the same time. When the hanger was shot, I liked how the truck sat. The rear tire was actually tucking and only left a slight rake. I got a couple different ways I can gain a little bit of lift back if I need to plus I can always just go back to stock position if it's too much drop in the rear.

When you flip your hanger you’re grinding the rivets off the MOUNT and flipping it, the shackle does not matter what direction it is facing.

Ok, I was just wondering about the shackle cause the pics showed both ways. I had to replace ALL my hangers on my truck, which I was going to do any way because I had to do the one. I'm glad I committed myself to it, it was kind of scary. They looked fine til I started messing with them. Nice size holes were hiding in almost every one.

I took a lot of pics and truly learned how I could get them done the quickest for the tools I had at my disposal. I'm really hoping for an improved ride when all is done. Plus I talked to KYB today, I gotta get it back together and get some measurements for them. I'm hoping to be able to get a set of GR2's for the back finally. These drop shocks shuck, I have yet to get any life out of them.
