4 Rangers so far. I work IT and enjoy the torture.
I understand that on the front you basically need everything ranger specific to convert to a ranger front end (header panel, headlights, fenders, etc)

But on the bed, I'd like to convert to a ranger fiberglass bedsides because mine is rotten rusted in spots, but not the "tub" itself.

I don't want to swap entire beds because I have a long bed b3000 and the 7ft seem to be hard to find.

Would I be able to just use the fiberglass bedsides with ranger tails, or will I need to change more (ie tailgate, bed tub itself)?

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I think the tub is different because the normal sides are not removable.

You'll have drill out all the spot welds to remove the bed sides. But if they make 7ft fibreglass bed sides they will work.

And I just need to switch to Ranger tail lights right? It's been a while since I owned one of these things and I forgot if the bedside determined the tail light or the "tub"

I didn’t notice the 7ft detail. The flareside beds are short - 6ft. So, there’s no way that they’ll work on a 7ft bed tub.

Yes but the mazdas are 3 bulb and the rangers 01? and up are 2 bulb, so you need to do some wiring.

But as Eric mentioned, are you doing aftermarket bed sides, or trying to use step side ones?

Aftermarket prerunner style.

I should be able to find the older ranger tails fairly easily so I can use 3 bulb still
